About Sal
Sal Carcagno is currently an Advertising and Public Relations student at Loyola University Chicago, with minors in Marketing and Psychology. He is fueled by a curiosity to understand the way people think and the nuances of how communication strategy can affect decision making. Sal considers himself a 'forever student-athlete,' who has remained dedicated to his fitness while also pursuing his intellectual interest outside the classroom with the same passion. Despite a busy day-to-day schedule, he remains committed to daily exercise and eager to expand his knowledge of human behavior and integrated communications.
Sal's understanding of how to effectively engage with an audience has contributed to his recent successes as a marketing and student engagement intern with the Loyola University Chicago Athletics Department, where multiple student attendance records were broken in the 2021 - 2022 seasons. Through this internship, he greatly improved his productivity and time management skills, as he managed the workload of 15 - 18 credit hours a semester, along with the internship, two on-campus jobs, and being the president of his fraternity at Loyola.
Sal is obsessive about the things in his life he is passionate about - something that defines the way he operates in each of his respective roles and jobs, as well as his personal fitness and intellectual growth outside the classroom. Sal is currently looking for a advertising, communications, marketing, or public relations internship position for the summer of 2022 and it interested in expanding his industry knowledge.
